In a pretty good place, actually, from Neji's side at least. Neji doesn't have SUPER STRONG FEELINGS about anyone at this point, because he's sort of reserved and slow to connect with people barring some kind of great shounen bonding moment. But he's comfortable around Cass, and would have been willing to bring up practicing with her on his own, which is actually saying something.

She's also bringing out his more accepting side. Which might not show, but trust me, compared to some of his other threads and reactions, it's a Thing. He's not like a wet cat around her. It's a nice start.

...A part of me looks forward to Neji getting some of his skills back, and we can like. Read body language at each other. Or something. XD

Cass is pretty lost in her own world right now, but she... wants to know more about Neji. She highly suspects they have a lot in common and she's a little desperate to find people like her in any way, shape or form. She really is intent on practicing with him and hopes that they both get skills back that will make them each a challenge for the other. In general, though, she's curious and hopeful that they'll understand each other.

What are his feelings on Iolite right now?

He's... settling. I think he's sort of figuring out what he thinks his place is in the team. I don't know. As a team, they kind of frustrate him sometimes, though less after the last game. The fact everyone participated had a positive effect.

Still, he kind of feels like they're a mess, and don't really have leadership, or enough.... professional isn't necessarily the right word, but it's the closest I can come up with... connections with each other?

In short, "You guys are okay, but why aren't you ninjas?" Or something like that.

What are your favorite type of games?

I like games like the truth game or the spin-the-bottle game. THINGS LIKE PARTY GAMES where there's a strong emphasis on interaction but also clear rules and objectives. I JUST. LIKE INSTRUCTIONS OKAY. I like being able to tell what I'm supposed to do, and how I'm supposed to win. Much much much more my preference than exploration games or ambiguous games.

No, really. Neji's not entirely sure what to make of Spitfire. He doesn't dislike him, and appreciates his willingness to be involved in games, and... things. His first impression was nooot great. Not terrible, but not great. The ducklinging and hesitation to find out more about his own memories struck Neji as a little... weak? But it's improved since then. He's not really sure where it's going. Also, the outgoingness is a little awkward. Not necessarily offputtingly so, but Neji's not entirely sure what to do with that kind of attitude.

Mixed feelings about letting Spitfire braid his hair. On the one hand, why are you so happy? On the other...

Having his hair played with is a little nice.

Most awkward teammate ever. Lulz. Spitfire thinks it's kind of adorable. Okay, Spitfire thinks a lot of things are adorable, but still. He's not really sure where he stands with Neji, but he's getting a lot better at understand himself, which means that he'll have a better time dealing with Neji being... Neji. He... hesitates sometimes because Neji isn't very approachable, but he really wants to be casual with his touches around him. It's something that bugs him, and he'll probably work his way up to doing so eventually.

He was so amazingly happy when Neji let him braid his hair. One, because ZOMIGOD HAIR *o*!!!! but also because it was a show of trust, which Spitfire felt honored by. He would love to play with it more... just... in general. He may end up questing for a hair brush someday just so he can play with all the gorgeous hair his team is so generously endowed with.

What skill would you like Neji to get back first?

I could go a lot of ways on that, really. A lot of his skills would be interesting. Like, Byakugan would be cool for Neji himself. It would make him more comfortable overall, because without it, he feels kind of vulnerable. It's gotten progressively worse since EVERY memory he's received has involved it.

But on the other hand, it's kind of fun keeping him in the dark on it. And it would actually be really interesting to get Jyuuken back without it, since he'd have his fighting style back! And it would be 80% ineffective because it relies so heavily on being able to see chakra.

And then the troll in me would say meditation. Neji would be so cranky. Though it would also be sort of good for him.

Feelings on Iolite?

Sasuke's... interesting. Neji doesn't really dislike him, and he's interested in this shared world to a degree. He's been fairly helpful, and he does seem... probably the most like Neji's vague idea of what ninjas ought to be like. So that's okay. And he respects him a little.

At the same time, something about Sasuke makes him feel like he's being judged, and without most of his memories or any of his skills, that bothers him. So there's an element of wet cat in there, feeling sort of defensive and unhappy with everything. He doesn't like feeling like he's not up to standards.

Hilariously enough, Sasuke isn't judging Neji as much as he appears to be. The thing with Sasuke and strangers is that between his memories and getting used to Aather as a whole, Sasuke is less willing to look somewhat friendly now.

He was somewhat wary about Neji at first due to Neji's eyes, but Sasuke put that aside and decided not to ask about them. He had the impression Neji wasn't doing enough to understand their situation, too. Later on he decided that Neji is somewhat similar to him (looks like he enjoys silence, for once), and then Naruto told him about Neji and their fight, but Sasuke didn't ask for details because he had other things in his mind.

He disapproved of Neji relying on remembering his skills, though, because he thinks it's fairly obvious that remembering a skill is useless if your body and mind aren't prepared to it. He also considered teaching him, but he's apparently teaching Spitfire and idk if Cassie accepted to be taught by him, so gaining another person to train with or teach felt like too much. He also spars with Naruto and Naoto and probably Itachi, Lloyd and other knights from time to time. And Sasuke likes to train alone at the end of the day, so.

But in general, he has a mixed impression of Neji and he's willing to approach him again in the future. His impression is more positive than negative at this point and he also finds Neji interesting.

Which memory would you want Neji to receive next?

WATCH ME TALK ABOUT THINGS THAT WEREN'T ASKED.

Neji has been moving toward the idea of training on his own some, but he's slow about it because to a degree, he's not sure where to start. He remembers a couple of fights now, and he remembers Byakugan pretty notably, and he can tell his fighting style is pretty much based on that. Which leaves him a little unsure what to do. And in general, he's touchy about his skills.

As for memories, there are a few that could be fun! I'd love to get his fight with Kidoumaru back. It has a lot of interesting things to play with, and it might actually calm him down some and encourage him to be more outgoing and self-sacrificing, neither things he's feeling at the moment.

On the other hand, dealing with him learning about his seal, or his father's death, or his fight with Hinata where he really got to stretch his Not A Nice Guy side coooould be interesting too. It would just take things in the opposite direction. I am good with either!

What would Aather!Sasuke make of Camp!Itachi? If you have an idea! /curious about all the crossover things

Does Neji have any more thoughts about Ace other than what was covered in the truth game?

I don't know that there's much. For some reason, Neji sort of likes Ace. He's not entirely sure why, himself. I'd say he falls in a pretty good spot where Neji doesn't feel like he's being judged, and Ace seems fairly competent, and when he doesn't... they're not on the same team, so it's not his problem. So he feels like he can unbend a little, which leads to interactions that are slightly more pleasant, over all. If that makes sense?

Not much either! Ace tends to be generally positive towards people but most don't make much of a lasting impression? Neji is starting to make one though, just 'cause he's different from most of the people Ace has interacted with so far. Pretty much he is in "let's see where this goes!" mode.

What are Neji's thoughts on the Personae kidnapping him to Aather to save their world?

Honestly? He thinks it's kind of a flawed plan. He's surprised it's worked as well as it has. Like, he's cranky about the kidnapping, but he's kind of critical of the idea in general. That might change, as he talks to them more. He really hasn't talked to any of the Personae about the whole kidnapping, save the world thing.

But seriously. Is he missing something? How's that supposed to work. ¬.¬

He is... starting to warm up to her. A little. Slowly. That goes for most of the team too, really, but specifically. She's been pretty patient with the fact he's kind of standoffish, and she wasn't so sulky about the new people replacing the old people thing, so. He's getting more comfortable.

He also respects her a little more since that whole... werecamel riding incident. I'm not sure how far that extends, but it improved his overall impression.

Jaina has actually come to appreciate the new members of the team. From her perspective, Neji is standoffish but the sort of person she understands: purely rational and practical. She thinks that of the members of the team, he'll be the one she can count on when there's something serious happening, figuring he'll keep a level head and just do whatever he thinks needs done -- and she figures he's one of the least likely to write her off again if she takes a risk.

Can Jaina earn honorary ninja status?

It kind of depends on Neji's memories. At the moment he's not as strongly connected to the idea of being a ninja as he could be, so it's not something he's projecting consciously on others. The sense he does have is more an attitude, which isn't Jaina.

But who knows, once he gets more memories, and as he works out his feelings about the team more. XD

Oddly enough, not that annoying. Kind of incomprehensible, though. Neji really has no idea what to make of her. He doesn't dislike her. He's just very unsure. What is this? Why is this? :/ I don't get it.

She's kind of interesting though, in a weird way. I'm not sure he could quite pin it down yet.

Neji doesn't really ping her very strongly in any particular way-- no instadere, but no GRAR :E either-- which means that she likes him! She actually has gathered that some of his questions and concerns re: Aather are really normal, but she doesn't share them, which makes it hard for her to know what to say. Ssso he gets to deal with Hermana herself instead of canned answers. (Though, to be fair, even if someone took her aside and said YOU HAVE BEEN HERE FOR X DAYS TELL THEM THAT she would probably still just ignore that and do her own thing.) Next time they talk, she might offer him a really simple quest for something like cake or bacon because surely that will help him feel better! :Da

Are there any types of games that you're interested in but haven't gotten to play in yet?

YES. Uh. Actually a lot of them. I'm curious about heart games. I didn't get to play in those last time, really. But they seem interesting. And in general, I just haven't been around that long, or had a chance to be in a whole lot of games, so... I want to try more things! Trauma could be a thing. I'd like to see how Neji handles that.
