I don't know that there's much. For some reason, Neji sort of likes Ace. He's not entirely sure why, himself. I'd say he falls in a pretty good spot where Neji doesn't feel like he's being judged, and Ace seems fairly competent, and when he doesn't... they're not on the same team, so it's not his problem. So he feels like he can unbend a little, which leads to interactions that are slightly more pleasant, over all. If that makes sense?

Not much either! Ace tends to be generally positive towards people but most don't make much of a lasting impression? Neji is starting to make one though, just 'cause he's different from most of the people Ace has interacted with so far. Pretty much he is in "let's see where this goes!" mode.

What are Neji's thoughts on the Personae kidnapping him to Aather to save their world?

Honestly? He thinks it's kind of a flawed plan. He's surprised it's worked as well as it has. Like, he's cranky about the kidnapping, but he's kind of critical of the idea in general. That might change, as he talks to them more. He really hasn't talked to any of the Personae about the whole kidnapping, save the world thing.

But seriously. Is he missing something? How's that supposed to work. ¬.¬

So tell me what's fun about playing Ace.

He's more cheerful and a lot more expressive than the other two characters I play (Itachi and Teen Titans Raven at Sabra), so the contrast is fun. And...I guess I secretly enjoy playing his derpy cheerful self while knowing his sekrit unsafeness. Even if it never becomes a factor of how he acts in Aather, just knowing that it's lurking in the background gives me joy.

And while I like his canon, it does tend to focus more on relationships than the world, so I enjoy having the chance to more fully explore how messed up his canon is and go to the dark, creepy places that his canon avoids. Like having tiny!Ace wandering around Aather eyeless and terrified of knights. That was fun.

I sort of love Neji, which helps. But like, specifically it's interesting because he's capable on the one hand of being just a monumental dick all around, cutting people down, getting wrapped up in his own angst, that whole... almost killing his cousin thing, and on the other he can be a really dependable, determined, self-sacrificing good guy, depending on where he's from in canon and how he feels about himself and others. He's always going to be serious, and he'll never be super outgoing and friendly, but he has a lot of range that way. Aather kind of gives me the opportunity to play both at once, or see which way he'll go as he gets memories and works out his relationships with people. It has the potential to go a lot of different ways, I think, and maybe do some interesting things with his self image.

I... know very little about your canon, other than that it's relationshippy. What else should I know? XD

Heart no Kuni no Alice was originally an Alice's-Adventures-in-Wonderland-themed dating game! Alice gets kidnapped to Wonderland by the bishounen version of the White Rabbit and forced to join the "game" that rules Wonderland. The only way for her to go home is to play the "game" by meeting and interacting with people. Of course, the people she has to meet and interact are all her love interests, and all based off various characters from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. But like I said the world is actually really messed up and creepy beneath the bright shoujo exterior things are further complicated by the fact that most of Alice's prospective boyfriends are all psycho to a greater or lesser extent...including Ace. :>

I don't have access to the game except through very partial translations, most of which are concentrated on the sequels to Heart no Kuni no Alice rather than Heart no Kuni itself. I play Ace mostly based on the six volume manga adaptation of Heart no Kuni no Alice, which assumes what I think is meant to be a neutral ending where Alice doesn't end up with anyone but ends up staying in Wonderland and playing the "game" again, instead of going home. I could go into more detail about the world but then I would writing forever so I think I will leave it here. XD

OH NO ALL THE EASY QUESTIONS ABOUT MEMORIES AND SKILLS HAVE BEEN ASKED. Uh. Do you have any music that you associate with Neji?

I dooooo have some, yeah. I think it would be pretty hard not to at this point, though less than it seems like I should have. A lot of it depends on my mood. Sometimes I'll be like, oh, this song reminds me of him! Othertimes eh.

I think we've got a pretty good spread of types right now so not really. I do like seeing Personae from less obvious (i.e. less fairy tale) sources though.

Probably not. Maybe at some point, but nothing in the immediate future.

I'd like to play canon Ace somewhere some day, but that's about it.
