Memory 07
Becoming jounin. Implied/headcanon.
Description: We don't see Neji's promotion on camera, but we know that he's reached the rank of jounin, and we see Shikamaru's chuunin promotion, so it's pretty easy to put together a canon consistent memory for this. Neji goes to Tsunade's office and is told about his promotion, etc etc, there's not a lot of fanfare or to-do made over it. Neji doesn't get excited over it, but he does feel like he deserved it, and is proud of having that recognized.
Afterward, he'd see his family—mostly his uncle and cousins—and they would also be proud of him, but in a "this was expected" sort of way, and with an awkward undercurrent. It's not wildly expressive.
Notes:
-Neji knows his current rank, and that it's high-ish level.
-He has a very general sense of genin/chuunin/jounin/elite jounin now. It's not detailed, but the basic shape of it is there.
-He remembers the Hokage, who's more or less the head of the village, and that he more or less respects her.
-Otherwise, this this is a very trivial memory, and the biggest final take away from it is a boost to Neji's confidence. He doesn't have his skills back, but at least where accomplishment is concerned, he feels like he knows what kind of person he is.
